What is a Universal Studios Orlando Preferred hotel
The Universal Preferred Hotels partner program works very similar to the Disney Good Neighbor Hotels Program. Both theme parks want their guests to come and have a great time in Orlando. Obviously, Universal Studios would prefer for guests to stay their property, but this is not always in the cards for a lot of guests. Sometimes the hotels are too expensive, or they simply waited too long to make a reservation and the Universal hotels are sold out, and some guests just prefer to stay off site. Whatever the reasoning, Universal still wanted to make sure these guests were taken care of. This is the reason Universal came up with this program. The hotels which are lucky enough to be included have been given the good housekeeping seal of approval from Universal Studios.
There are 4 main things which an Orlando hotel must do to make sure they are included in this program:
1. The hotel be AAA approved and have high customer satisfaction rating. Simply put, the guests must be satisfied with their stay.
2. Universal Studios must be the attraction which is advertised and seen the most when guests walk around the property.
3. The hotel must provide shuttle service too and from the parks. They might only drop off twice a day and pick up twice a day but they must provide shuttle service.
