Orlando Theme Parks Gear up for Holiday Season - Part 1
As the holidays come near, Orlando theme parks gear up for the 2010 holiday season with plenty of vacationing options for the theme park enthusiast. Here is just a sampling of what the Orlando theme parks have for us this holiday season.
The first major holiday is Halloween and Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and Busch Gardens go to war in an all out media blitz. Each park has a different slant on Halloween. Universal is targeting the teens where Disney goes after the preteens and Busch Garden gets what’s left over basically.
Universal Studios Orlando calls their event “Halloween Horror Nights.” This is certainly not for the faint at heart. You should certainly not want to take young children. They may never go outside again if you did. That’s where Disney steps in the picture with the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that caters to young children. Disney saw the an opportunity in the market that still wanted to have fun yet did not want to be exposed to the “horror” of Halloween and recently Busch Gardens jumped on the Halloween band wagon with their Howl O’ Scream event that goes after the teen market as well.
