Saving money on your Orlando vacation

Here is 5 money saving tips on your next Orlando vacation:
1. Decide on which parks you want to visit. It is much cheaper if you decide you want to just visit Disney World for your whole vacation or you might want to visit Universal and SeaWorld. However, if you decide to visit Universal and Disney then you can start to really spends some dollars. After you have stayed at Disney World for three days your next few days are really inexpensive. For example we sell an adult three day ticket for $211 while a five day ticket is $214 (only $3 more for two extra days).
2. Buy the base tickets to Disney World. The hopper tickets cost $45 more per person and 2 out of every 3 people never use the hopper tickets.
3. Bring a back pack and stuff if full of your own snacks. The most expensive part of a Disney vacation is eating out. If you bring a couple of candy bars, fruit, and other little snacks you will find that you can save yourself lots of money.
4. Take your own pictures. Disney has photographers roaming the parks to take your pictures; however, these pictures do come with a hefty price tag.
5. Stay at a non-Disney owned hotel. Most people who come to Disney World book directly with Disney so the hotels which are not owned by Disney have to offer hotels at much better rates and great amenities to attract guests.

Orlando Hotels…deciding where to stay

Here are a few suggestions to help you choose the best Orlando hotel for you and your family.

1. What are you going to be doing when you are in Orlando? If you are going to be visiting a theme park then you will be well served to look for a hotel near that attraction. Most hotels near Disney World offer free shuttle service to and from the various Disney World Parks. Keep in mind parking at Disney World is $12 per day so this can add up to a huge savings especially if you are going to Disney for 6 or 7 days.

2. What is the make up of your party. If you have small children (under the age of 4 years old) and you know they are going to need a nap in the middle of the day then plan for this. All the hotels on Disney World property offer Free shuttle service every thirty minutes to and from the theme parks. Trust me…there is nothing more miserable than being at the Magic Kingdom with a tired, fussy child.

3. Set a budget. Orlando has something for everyone from expensive, lavish hotels to simple no frill properties. Be cautious however, don’t expect the Ritz if the room only cost you $39 a night.

4. Looking into booking a package deal- If you are like most visitors coming to Orlando and you are going to be visiting a theme park then you might want to look into ordering your theme park tickets and your hotel rooms as a package deal…sometimes you can get a great value this way.

5. Pictures speak a thousand words. Really look at the pictures of the property, you can usually tell from the pictures if this is a hotel you and your family would want to stay in.

We hope these five suggestions help you book the perfect Orlando hotel!
